In it, Oscar Herrero, after playing a Sevillana, shows exercises to develop a good left hand technique with exercises on extensions, legatos, chord changes, little finger.... It is presented in a study format. All techniques explained in the three episodes are summarized here: thumb techniques, staccatos, arpeggios, legatos, extensions etc... At the end of the tape the renowned guitar makers "Conde Hermanos" comment some characteristics and maintenance tips for flamenco guitar.

Alegrías: guitar accopaniment

In-depth study of the accompaniment to the cante por Alegrías. Concert themes are developed. Oscar Herrero begins by demonstrating various rasgueo patterns por Alegrías which are used as the basis for the accompaniment to el cante por Alegrías. In addition three cantes which use the alegrías rhythm in accompaniment are included, these are the Mirabrás, Romera and Caracoles.
First, the songs are interpreted by the cantaora María de Toledo accompanied on the guitar by Oscar Herrero. Then the cantaor sings the same songs, this time accompanied only by percussion and palmeros, so that the student can add the guitar part himself at home.
